ABOUT HRDC

Human Resource Development Centre was set up by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, New Delhi, in July, 2002 . 

HRDC is situated in an ideal location about 6 kms away from the main town of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh near the NH 24 and is around 50 kms from Delhi Airport and 40 kms from the rail stations in Delhi.

The Centre has nearly 13000 sqm. of built up location comprising modern class rooms & seminar halls fitted with latest teaching / training aids such as interactive boards, panel boards, LCD projectors, OHP, videos etc. The Centre has grown into a residential training facility with well furnished  50 rooms accommodation for the trainees and the faculty. This would enable participants to interact with faculty even after the training schedule and also give them an opportunity to socialize and develop a sense of comradeship amongst the trainees. The Centre is going to house recreational facilities such as Yoga/Meditation rooms, Gym, indoor and outdoor games etc. A jogger track will supplement the needs of fitness freaks. Two modern cafeterias are being set up to cater all meals, beverages /snacks requirements of the participants, guest faculty around the year.

 

 

 

 

 

MISSION

To promote a professional and holistic human resource management for R&D and support functions in CSIR

 

 

 

MANDATE

The mandate of the Centre is to :

•    Offer structured and customised training programmes on S & T management and associated functions such as:

            -     Orientation training programmes 

            -     Induction training programmes

            -     Skill upgradation training programmes

•    Inculcate the spirit of Team CSIR amongst CSIR staff       

•    Develop modern training methodology / aids / tools

•    Network with professional HRD organisations

•    Promote research / studies in the area of HRM   

•    Act as idea generators, thinkers and facilitators in HR

•    Identify areas needing reforms in personnel policies of CSIR

•     Create focused HR groups in each Laboratory / Institute of CSIR
