The centre conducts training programmes for development of management skills and specialised functional skills for scientific, technical, administration, finance and purchase personnel of CSIR.CSIR-HRDC conducts these programmes at its own campus as well as off-campus at various CSIR Labs.
The Centre conducts training programmes on a wide gamut of topics for meeting multiple skills needs of the CSIR personnel under the following broad categories:
(a) Induction / Orientation training programmes for newly recruited scientists and common cadre
officers of CSIR
(b) Management skills development training programmes on leadership, team building,
change management for senior staff
(c) Refresher functional skills training programmes for scientists, administrative, finance and
(d) Specific need based/demand driven programmes
The modules for these programmes are designed, evolved & formulated keeping in view the organizational and individual's career & personal growth needs.
These training programmes are regular part of Centre's activities. It, however, also designs organizes & conducts programmes which are need based as well as add value to the organization. The recently organized programmes are:
